What would you recommend a laptop, MacBook or Dell XPS M1330?

I go to college in the fall and my college biology and with these two phones are about the same price (including the MacBook and iPod touch an HP printer for free). I will use my laptop for tasks basic and I will not play. What do you recommend and why?
