Mash (DVD)

Based on a novel by Richard Hooker of the same name, MASH was released in 1970 as a feature film for 20th Century Fox before experiencing widespread success as a groundbreaking television series in the fall of 1972. Brilliant integration of drama comedies and became one of the most famous spectacles in the history of television, leading to a series of eleven years time peak season. The final 1983 series of MASH made history as the most-watched program in television history, surpassing several Super Bowls and the legendary "Who Shot JR" episode of Dallas. With the proliferation of new television stations, is a disk may never be broken …

The comedy takes place in South Korea during the U.S. intervention in the Korean War (with M * A HS stand for "Mobile Surgical Hospital Militar"). Protected by the front lines of a chain of mountains and minefields, men and women of MASH were the task of patching up wounded American soldiers. Unique, the cast of MASH was unusually high. Surgeons Dr. Benjamin Pierce (Alan Alda) and Dr. "Trapper" John McIntyre (Wayne Rogers) play the role of excellent doctors who love women and alcohol, while Dr. Frank Burns (Larry Linville) and Nurse Practitioner Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan (Loretta Swit) role-playing antics of two men (due to a dispute contract, the character of Rogers has been replaced over the afternoon by Dr. BJ Hunnicutt – played by Mike Farrell). The character of Frank Burns was also later replaced by Dr. Charles Emerson Winchester (David Ogden Stiers) …

Corporal Max Klinger (Jamie Farr) provides comic relief in their first Attempts to obtain a release to dress in women's clothing, and Father Francis Mulcahy (William Christopher) adds flavor to a distribution diverse characters. To complete the cast is also Lt. Col. Henry Blake (McLean Stevenson), Corporal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly (Gary Burghoff), and Col. Sherman Potter (Harry Morgan) …

MASH DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes including the first of the series in which Hawkeye Pierce and Trapper John McIntyre learned that his servant, Ho-John got accepted into Hawkeye's alma mater. To raise money for Ho-Juan travel the United States, finishing two off to spend a weekend in Tokyo, with the plate of the nurse and celebrate the acceptance of the university with a lavish party … Other notable episodes from Season 1 include "The Moose" in which a soldier arrives at camp with a slave bought in Korea, and the "ceasefire" in the field of the first famous MASH a cease-fire that is never supposed to done …

Ok, does anyone know why MASH is not playing on hallmark channel this week? This is disturbing!?

I looked up the hallmark channel directory..and nothing shows that MASH is on. Does anyone know why? Is the Hllmark channel discontinuing this show? If so, how do i PROTEST to this? It would not surprise me if this is so. Mash has released their season 11 dvd already. This might be a business decison to squeeze us people to BUY the dvd’s. I am not happy at this. Are there die hard Mash fans out there who are wondering the same thing? If you are not serious MASH fans are attempting to answer this question or comment not knowing a thing about MASH…please do not respond. Serious MASH PEOPLE ONLY. No offense. It’s a MASH thing!

I wonder if it has anything to do with Sweeps week? The end of November is a Sweeps time when channels air programs that will allow them to set their advertising rates for the coming year. Maybe M*A*S*H will be on again in December. Have you checked their website for their programming list?
