Can you help me with my problam with the CD/DVD driver?
I have a Matshita UJ-8205. When I tried to load one on my CDs the Driver didn’t read it. when the CD start to load it gives the normal loading sound and then sounds like the CD dragging and stops, when this thing happen for few times the CD/DVD folder opens (which normally shows the files in the CD) but the folder shows as empty. I tried few CDs and the same problem occurs. The Status of the driver shows as working properly.
I tried to uninstall the driver and when the computer restarts it automatically detected the device and automatically installed the driver, but the problem still occurs. I have the Device driver installation CD but want help as the CD diver won’t read CD. What do you think about this problem? Any idea how can I solve this problem.
try uninstalling ur ide then reboot …. if that doesnt fix it try a firmware update for the drive … in some cases it can also be a symptom of a virus … u shouldnt need a driver for an optical drive other than the default windows drivers.
